It's no secret that we love to support up and coming talent here at Scribe and we have been extremely fortunate to work with some of the best the UK and Europe has to offer. This season we are super proud to have one of the UK's brightest talents on board. Step forward Ella Maclean Howell, who rides for the Tofauti Everyone Active squad.
Ella has had a prolific cross season so far, winning the first three rounds of the National Trophy in the UK, no easy task with the talent on show! This earned her selection for the Great Britain team at last weekend's European Champs in Col Du Vam, Netherlands.
In terms of kit, she is racing on our super versatile Race-D wheelset which are light, responsive and strong, everything you need in a cross wheel!
Ella rode a storming race after a difficult first lap but pulled her way back inside the top 10 to a superb top 10 finish. An amazing feat for her first Euros. Here's what she had to say;
"Fair to say my first European Championships didn't go to plan. After a disastrous first lap, I was playing catch up the whole race and managed to sneak into the top 10 for 9th at the finish. Not what I hoped for but more opportunities in the future 🤞"
It was straight back into International duty for Ella at Sunday's Cross World Cup in Tabor, Czech Republic. This was the first round of the World Cup and Ella put in another storming ride to finish 7th. The race was won by Ella's GB team mate Zoe Backstedt who is in blistering form at the moment. The future is bright for GB Cycling!
There's plenty more to come from this young talent, keep your eyes peeled!
